The site features a family-oriented Northern Va. living history group formed to honor the men of the infantry unit raised in historic Fairfax Court House, Va. The civilians represent town folk, including a telegrapher. The site includes the reenactors, history and biographical data of the 1860s unit as well as photographs of several--most of which have never appeared elsewhere.

Adam Rankin Johnson's Cavalry was a Kentucky Partisan Ranger command known as the 10th KY Cavalry. They operated mainly in Union controlled Western KY. They also raided into Ill, Ind and Ohio.The 10th KY often rode with Gen John Hunt Morgan, including on his famous July 1863 Ohio raid.
